Vietnam visa requirement for Rwandan citizens
As a Rwandan citizen, you require a Vietnam visa in order to visit Vietnam. Rwandan citizens can apply for the Vietnam visa in two ways:
1. Directly from the Vietnam embassy or Vietnam consulate:
At the moment, there is no Vietnam embassy or Vietnam consulate in Rwandan and therefore applicants for the Vietnam visa from this country will have to find the nearest Vietnam embassy in the surrounding countries. The other way to directly applying for the Vietnam visa is by the post option. Visa by post is recommended and convenient in that applicants don’t have to present themselves in person at the Vietnam embassy. However, they must confirm with the Vietnam embassy in advance to find out if the service is offered there since visa application procedures vary across embassies.
2. Online application for the letter of approval to:
a) Get the Vietnam visa at a Vietnam international airport (this service only available to air travelers)
This way of visa application entails the following steps:
- Applicants should checkout our website online and fill in the visa application form found there.
- Applicants should clear the service fee with us and follow our instructions
- Applicant receives the approval letter from us by email in 48 business hours.
- The applicant should present the letter of approval, their passport document and two of their recent passport photos at any of the Vietnam international airport (Tan Son Nhat, NoiBai and Da Nang), and finally clear the visa stamping fee to collect their visa right away.
b) Get the Vietnam visa from the Vietnam embassy/consulate you choose in your application form.
This procedure entails the following four steps:
- Applicants should visit our website and locate the visa application form, fill it in and submit to the system.
- Applicants should clear the service fees with us as guided by our instructions.
- Applicants to receive the letter of approval from us by email in 48 business hours
- Applicants should present their letter of approval, their passport and two of their passport photos at the Vietnam embassy and pay the visa stamping fee so they can instantly be issued their Vietnam visas.
Note: Conditions to get Vietnam visa:

- You must have had your valid passport for at least six months
- Your two passport sized photos must have been taken within the last six months.
- The information in your letter of approval must be same as that in your passport.
