Middle East Visitors to Vietnam require for Respiratory Syndrome checking (MERS – CoV)


A report from Vietnam Ministry of Health that Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV) in Middle East countries getting worst, therefore from 1st July 2014 travelers from nine countries in the Middle East has to fill the medical form (also called Health declaration forms) at Vietnam international airport before entry Vietnam.

Those countries are Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Yemen, Kuwait, Lebanon, Jordan and Iran – will be obliged to complete the health declaration forms. It includes:

Name, age, address, contact information.

Where were you in the last 14 days

Health stage: Fever, cough, yellow skins, diarrhea

If the doctor has found you have the symptoms of MERS-CoV, you will be required to be isolated for a medical check before you allowed entering the country.
